Day 26

Compassion is the radicalism of our time. ~Dalai Lama

Compassion is the act of feeling with someone, whatever emotions they are feeling; to have concern or care for how they are feeling. Practice compassion for yourself first, then for others. Be kind when you have shortcomings, instead of feeling down on yourself. Repeat words of kindness to yourself, reassuring that even though you may have stumbled you are not defeated. Encourage your successes, with words of support. Rally behind your own goals, and cheer yourself on! Now, take that glowing feeling you have and share it with others. Practice compassion for your friends, for that younger sibling who keeps screwing up, for that arrogant neighbor who just won’t stop being a meanie… Because we all need love and compassion.

love and compassion are necessities
