Today is about Resilience.

re·sil·ient – (adjective)
  1. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
  2. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.

The late Nelson Mandela said, “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” On our paths to self-fulfillment, things will go awry. This is your opportunity, to learn more about yourself, to fuel change, to make a shift in perspective, to evaluate priorities… to do and gain a lot. Like the beloved character “Tigger,” from A.A. Milne’s story collection, The House at Pooh Corner, bounce back! Think about #PrincipleTen: Adapt or die. On your journey to self-fulfillment, adjust your sails and enjoy the winds.

Evening Activity:

Take five minutes of quiet meditation/prayer alone. When finished, you should feel refreshed and open. Think about your day, and recall at least one moment when things went off the rails and didn’t go as planned. How did you feel? What did you do to adjust? Did you feel you handled it well? How can you use the opportunity to benefit you? What did you learn? Record it in your journal. Later, look back and see how well you were able to adapt. Use this experience, and your resilience, to fuel your personal success!
