Karma, divine justice, holy fairness, whatever you choose to call it, it’s about universal balance.
Karma is not about your revenge or justice, it’s about the other person’s recompense.
When you receive a Karmic situation, it isn’t to avenge a wrongdoing you’ve committed against someone else.
Karma isn’t about making the victimized person feel satisfied, it’s about balancing the universe: You’ve created negative circumstances for someone else, this is a wrong you’ve committed, the consequences of your act are that negativity in the universe that belongs to you.
You receive what you give. It is about a wrongdoing that you’ve committed against yourself BY committing it against another.
Your suffering is a consequence for committing the wrong itself, not a punishment for the other person’s suffering through it.
The other person is feeling the suffering you’ve created, and will receive a positive recompense for enduring it. However, when that other person commits a wrong against someone, he or she will receive the negative recompense for the act eventually; and it will have nothing to do with the suffering of the person he or she has wronged.
Everything you do creates energy. Do a good deed, create positive energy. Do a bad deed, create negative energy. God has set up the universe in a system of balance. We will see the result of everything we do, even if it is as small as a mustard seed.
“And, We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And, if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And, sufficient are We as accountant.” 21:47
~The Noble Qur’an
Karma. Simple, and complex at the same time. We affect each other immensely, more than we realize, by the energy that we create in the universe.
The more negativity we create, the worse our world will be. We create a cycle of negative energy creation, one experience on top of the other.
The only way to break the cycle and create a more positive, loving world, is that someone has to be brave enough to love in the face of the negativity.
Create more love and positive energy, and it will generate more love and positive energy in our world.
